People gave special attention to their immunities and became very particular with their diets to protect themselves from COVID. But if it makes us stronger, shouldn’t we know everything about it?!

Let us first know about immunity and the different types of immunity. Immunity can be defined as the ability of an organism to resist any infection or toxin by the action of specific antibodies or sensitized white blood cells. There are 3 main types of immunity- Innate, Adaptive and Passive.

Innate Immunity: This is the immunity that we are born with. It is actually extremely weak.

Adaptive Immunity: This type of immunity develops as we grow. This develops when we are exposed to diseases or when we have immunized against those diseases with vaccines.

Passive Immunity: This immunity is something that is borrowed from other source. This type of immunity lasts only for a short time.

Now that we know about immunity and their types, let us know about Ayurveda and how it can boost our immunity.
